Office of Student Affairs
The mission of student affairs is to engage the whole student in a process of self-discovery to thrive in a complex and diverse global society. Our office helps students access a variety of services, programs, and activities, in support of our learning goals of exploring, engaging and belonging. The student affairs departments collaborate to ensure a meaningful and healthy engagement for all students. Student affairs staff members employ nationally recognized best practices to meet the unique needs of Smith students.
Guided by the mission and values of Smith College, the office recognizes Smith's commitment to educating women of promise for lives of distinction and purpose, as well as its focus on linking the liberal arts to excellence in research and scholarship, thereby developing engaged global citizens and leaders to address society’s challenges.
Within student affairs, we work closely with the dean of the college, and you will connect with the dean of students, accessibility resources, first-year student programs, medical, counseling and wellness services, residence life, student engagement, and other partners throughout campus.
